Amanda is the Director of Sabe Consultancy and has over 13 years experience in project, programme management and service improvement. She is also an experienced trainer, personal tutor, life coach and youth mentor.

Amanda obtained a Bachelors degree at the University of Hull where she majored in Analytical Philosophy and minored in Psychology. Shortly after her Bachelors she completed a Masters degree in African Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (London University)

Amanda's career achievements include, modernising the Housing Support Service for Homes for Islington 2003 - 4 bringing Homes for Islington from level 1 to 3 of the Equality Standard for Local Government - 2004, gaining Investors in People accreditation for Ealing Family Housing Association - 2005, securing regeneration funding for a total of £160 million for 2 local authorities in South London between 2005 and 2007.

Additionally, Amanda developed and published a toolkit on how to engage with local communities and develop community owned performance indicators, The Importance of Community Owned Performance Indicators (Professor Tomlins, Ewart and Beckles 2006)

Amanda's recent achievements include preparing a Sheltered Scheme Service for a Supporting People Inspection for a TMO based in South London. This work included:

  • Staff training
  • Resident training
  • Developing a range of policies procedures relating to sheltered housing
  • Preparing the Quality Assessment Framework( QAF).

    Amanda also works with young people, by giving careers advice and promoting a youth-led programme aimed to equip young people to make a lasting positive impact in the community.
